Flame King 1-Pound Refillable Cylinder
Description and Application: Every year there are millions of 1-pound propane cylinders are put in the garbage. Think about that for a minute, millions. Seems like a waste, and most of us have pitched numbers of those things into the trash without giving it a second thought. Now there’s a reasonable alternative that will certainly reduce waste: The refillable propane tank is certified by the DOT as a legally and lawfully refillable transportable container. (It is not safe to refill and transport regular disposable canisters.) The Flame King cylinders fill fastest and safest with the company’s commercial Flame King refill adapter—not included but available with the refill kit.
Staff Perspective: I like this idea. I’ve always felt a little guilty tossing used propane cylinders in the trash. I always figured there should be a way to refill or recycle them, but it’s not an easy task to take care of. I’m glad someone is thinking about making propane management a little more environmentally friendly.
