Four events at various locations throughout the South have been announced as venues for the 2024 Bass University itinerary. This year’s locales include Anderson, South Carolina; Athens, Texas; Shreveport, Louisiana; and Gadsden, Alabama (see full schedule below). Each event features six current or former pro bass anglers who each coach anglers in two sessions on the various aspects of bass fishing that set them apart, including tactics, techniques, and tackle. Events also feature round table discussions, breakout sessions, and the opportunity for one-on-one interactions with the pros, in which attendees can ask questions, get autographs, and snaps pictures with their favorite fishing pro. Pupils receive free lunches and get swag bags with products from Rapala, Crush City, VMC , Cortland Line, and a Bass University t-shirt.
Featured topics for this include Forward-Facing Sonar for All-Year Success , Targeting Giant Bass , Big Bait Tactics , and The Power of the Dropshot .
Anglers can also subscribe to Bass U online to gain access to a library of over 1,000 bass classes, with new classes added weekly.
According to a press release: “Bass University continues to set the standard for excellence in bass fishing education, blending the expertise of professional anglers in a classroom setting with advanced presentation technology. This innovative approach is designed to instill confidence in anglers of all levels, enabling them to master new tactics and techniques for consistently landing more and bigger bass.”
