Berkley's press release, which highlighted the introduction of its Powerbait Pro Jig Worm at the 2015 International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades show in Orlando, Florida, exclaimed: "The old classic is back!"
The Powerbait Pro Jig Worm in what is called the Natural hue.
In our eyes, this three-inch worm looks as if it was created for Midwest finesse applications. If fact, there is an image of a mushroom-style jig, which looks to be the one that Gopher Tackle makes, on the package. And, of course, mushroom-style jigs lay at the heart of Midwest finesse applications.
The head of the Powerbait Pro Jig Worm is flat, similar to the head of a standard soft-plastic stickbait. Its torso is embellished with three wide ribs, seven narrow ribs, and a long clitellum, which is also called an egg sack. It is adorn with a rounded shaped tail.

In the press release, the folks at Berkley announced that it "is perfect for finesse tactics, like dropshotting and light shakey heads." They do not mention how effective it is when an angler affixes it to a mushroom-style jig. But day in and day out, Midwest finesse anglers know that affixing a three-inch soft-plastic worm to a mushroom-style jig is the most fruitful way to employ it.
They are manufactured in the following colors: Black Ice, Chartreuse White, Chartreuse/Black, Chartreuse/Natural, Emerald Shiner, Firetiger, Madtom, Natural, Nightcrawler, Opening Night, Pearl White Silver Fleck, Perch Ice, Pumpkinseed/Fluorescent Orange, and Purple Chartreuse.
They are infused with a potent scent.
