I'm a year round angler who goes with a multi species approach to my outtings. I was catching walleyes early on in the morning but the fishing shut off after an hour of hot action. I walked up the bank to a steep point where is a nice rockpile. I had set my slip float at ten feet and when it drifted to about 20 ft from the bank, my float went under and I set the hook. The fish ran back towards the bank and was darting left to right and I was pleased to see the size of this bronze beauty. After a few pictures I returned it back to the water. I was more pleased to have this as the first fish on a new rod and reel.
