Finally...
Finally...Broke the 30" Barrier

After catching numerous 28" walleyes, I finally broke the 30" barrier. I typically fish at our cabin for 2 hours or less at a crack, and have been putting some very good fish in the boat this year. I knew this fish was special as soon as I set the hook. I was fishing with a crawler and plain hook, and I felt "the walleye bump" and fed the fish some line. When I set the hook I could feel the weight and after a second or two, the fish took a good run. I played the fish in over a minute or two fight...from one side of the boat to the other...and then I got it in the net. It was a quick measurement, a photo, and then sent it back to catch her later. Very satisfying endeavor.
