Fishing Gear: Minn Kota Traxxis

Minn Kota Traxxis

Description and Application: The Minn Kota Traxxis transom-mount electric trolling motor with options galore. The trolling motor makes boat control easy when you need it, day in and day out. The motor features a versatile steering tension control, easy on-hand stow, quick depth adjustments and more. There are several models to choose from, including 12- and 24-volt powering options, 45-, 55-, 70- and 80-pound thrust versions and two shaft lengths: 36 and 42 inches.

Staff Perspective: Simplicity is key, especially when finnicky fish are present. Rigging this trolling motor on any boat is an easy task and will take control up several notches, but it easily comes off for storage or travel. Plus, I really like how you can pretty much adjust this thing completely to your own personal fishing tactics and preferences.
