Gangler's Trophy Pike

Gangler's Trophy Pike
Greg Engel 45" Northern Pike

I caught this 45" Northern Pike at Gangler's Clifton Lake Outpost on the North Seal River System shortly after ice out. I was fishing with my Dad on our 40th trip to Canada. The day started out very cold with freezing temps and snow and most bays held few pike. As the day warmed, pike began moving into the shallow bays but were following but not agressively hitting our lures. We had seen several large pike follows, so I switched to a Wobblehead Lure (worm spoon) with a 10.5" Berkley Power Worm on a light spinning rod. Slowing down the presentation enticed this large pike to hit.
