My buddy Landon me come up tip up fishing with him. It was a Thursday morning, and we had to wake up at 4am needless to say im not a morning person. I slept most of the way to lake of the woods. We got up there and set up, we missed a couple flags early in the morning. It was around noon and a flag went. My buddy's and I ran to the flag and I set the hook little did I know what was on the other end. My buddy Landon had his head in the hole trying to turn the head up the hole. It made several runs and around the 4th time it was tired enough for landon to pull it up the hole but the other end of the quick strike rig got caught on the bottom of the ice. The fish had its head started up the hole but it was stuck. We hit it in the head and he pulled it up the hole, finely seeing the beast.
