Magic Noodle

We started jugging 2 years ago for catfish. We used goldfish, chicken liver, magic bait and catfish nuggets. Everything we caught was on magic bait chicken liver and blood. We were happy with 3-10 pound catfish. We changed to swimming noodles since they were so much easier to work with. We had fished all day Friday August 26, 2011 and didn't catch anything at all which is very unusual. We threw out some noodles in deeper water and went for a swim. My husband John got into the boat and noticed one yellow noodle had went under water for a few minutes and then popped back up. We headed over to the noodle and the adventure began. My husband started pulling up te 8 foot line and was almost pulled into the water a couple of times. I got the net ready but it wasn't big enough. So between the both of us we got this huge fish into our boat. Their were people on the docks and swimming cheering us on. We were shocked to find out the fish we caught was 26 pounds 10 ounce channel catfish and 37 inches long. We were so tired and excited at the end we were not able to sleep that night.
