My Biggest Fish Ever

My Biggest Fish Ever
grass carp

Robert Esbensen

Palatine Illinois

I was fishing in a farm pond for bass; I drifted into a bay and noticed some weeds were uprooted. I thought that was a little unusual until I saw a grass carp. I flipped my bait out in front of the fish and he moved off. I went on with my bass fishing. A few casts later I had a hit and missed the fish but immediately got a solid strike. My line moved off quickly and the whole bay erupted with spooked grass carp. After about 15 minutes I was able to land the fish. It was not only my biggest grass carp, but my biggest fish ever.
