Fished two weeks earlier in the Detroit River, my buddy caught his largest walleye to date (32"). What a hog, she was full of eggs. I lost one right beside the boat that day that looked to be as big. We boated 3 fish that day all over six pounds.
Decided to try Stony Point out of Sterling State Park this week end (lots of boats in the river now). We were drifting using crawler harnesses and had a double, this 30 incher was on my rod and whoever says walleyes don't fight should have caught this fish. She was hugging the bottom, and didn't want to come up.
