It was the first warm weekend of the year. Finally. 2 days above 70 degrees. So we went to south western Indiana. coal mine area. A lot of pits down there. we catch several bass between 18 - 22 inches each year.
The wind was gusting around 25 mph. So Spinner baits are 1st choice on these type days. We caught several short fish (15-16") and a few bigger ones. Our anchors couldn't hold us in the wind gusts. We ended up in the North Eastern corner of this pit. In 3 feet of water. She slammed a Chartreuse 1/2 oz strike king spinner bait . just measured her length and released her.
