Lake Hattie in Wyoming is well known for growing some big trout Browns, Rainbows, and Cutthroats as for perch they use to be abundant before the drought and now 4 years after the drought and 2 years of high water it seems like they are making a comeback it's been 3 years since I've seen a perch out of Hattie and its also my back door lake since Laramie is 20 minutes away I fish it quite often. We ran into a few jumbos this evening and one at a whopping 13 1/2" with a 10 3/4" girth we had no scale but a tailor's tape after releasing her back and finishing up the night trolling Firetiger Shad Raps size 05 we used the fresh water weight calculator for Perch and the numbers came out to be 2.05lbs the Wyoming state record is 2.2lbs. It is good to see Lake Hattie Perch making a rebound.
