The Black/Blue Finesse T.R.D. is at the top of this photograph. The Green Pumpkin Goby is the second one. The Green Pumpkin/Orange is the third one. The bottom one is The Deal.
On August 7, 2014, we published a gear guide about Z-Man Fishing Product's Finesse T.R.D., which they introduced to the angling world at the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades show on July 15 at Orlando, Florida.
Since then, the Finesse T.R.D. has become one of the mainstays in the soft-plastic repertoire of Midwest finesse anglers, who affix them to a small mushroom-style jig, such as Z-Man's 1/20- or 1/15-ounce Finesse ShroomZ jigs.
At this year's ICAST show, Z-Man introduced four new color combinations that a significant number of Midwest finesse anglers have been longing to use during the past 12 months. Those colors are Black/Blue, Green Pumpkin Goby, Green Pumpkin/Orange, and The Deal.

A few anglers are curious about the color called The Deal. In a Aug. 26 email Daniel Nussbaum of Z-Man wrote: "The Deal isn't meant to replicate the hue of a specific baitfish or invertebrate, but it is a color combination that we came up with based on some suggestions from various anglers. The back is a pearlescent-green-pumpkin color, and the belly is a translucent shimmering blue with iridescent violet flakes. We figured it would be a good addition to the product line as it has applications for worms, creatures, and swimbaits. And it is different than any colors we've seen on the market."
A package of eight of these extremely durable and alluring 2 3/4-inch soft-plastic finesse baits can be purchased for $3.99 at one online retailer.
